Namwon City in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 10th that it is implementing a ‘Parking and Stopping Text Notification Service’ that sends advance text alerts regarding illegal parking and stopping to create a pleasant road environment within the city.
The city provides the parking and stopping text notification service only to those who agree to receive the service among vehicles operating within the city, regardless of their place of residence.
The parking and stopping text notification service can be applied for on the Namwon City website.
However, the service applies only to illegal parking and stopping enforcement through fixed CCTV and mobile CCTV; reports made through the resident reporting system (Safe Report) and manual enforcement by on-site officers are not covered by the service.
A city official said, “Please actively promote and use the parking and stopping text notification service to create a clean and safe Namwon City.”
