Practicing Neighborly Love by Sharing a Warm Meal
On the 10th, Masanhappo-gu in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, selected a sponsor who has consistently practiced sharing and designated their establishment as a "Sponsor's House" for helping neighbors, presenting them with a nameplate.
The district office has been selecting regular donors who have contributed more than 10 times or sponsors who have donated over 3 million won annually.
This time, Bokdakbokdak Tteokbokki Specialty Restaurant, which has been providing 10 sets of lunch meals worth 100,000 won each to low-income residents with mobility difficulties twice a month since this year, was designated as the 17th Sponsor's House.
Kim Yeonja, the owner, said, "Since I started running the restaurant last November, I made a promise to myself to donate in any way I could, and I am happy to be able to fulfill that. I feel even more proud knowing that a warm meal can help those in need, and I am grateful that you visited to express your appreciation."
District Mayor Kang Changyeol said, "Thank you for putting your precious heart into action even during difficult times. We will do our best to create an atmosphere that promotes good deeds in the community and spreads the culture of sharing."
