Jeju Coast Guard Conducts 'Marine Police Career Special Lecture' for Youth

Jeju Maritime Police Station (Chief Ji Guk-hyun) announced on the 10th that it visited middle and high schools in Jeju City to conduct a 'Maritime Police Career Special Lecture.'


The career special lecture under the theme 'Talking about Maritime Police to Youth,' which has been ongoing since May, provides middle school students with various career exploration opportunities and gives high school students detailed information about the 'Maritime Police' among various professions before making career choices.

On Monday and Tuesday (the 8th and 9th), the lecture was held for students of Jeil Middle School and Ohhyun Middle School, respectively, explaining the role and importance of the 'Maritime Police' in an easy-to-understand way tailored to their level and addressing their questions.


Especially with the opening of beaches and the vacation season, they emphasized the importance of wearing life jackets through actual accident cases and urged the use of beaches equipped with safety management.


Jeju Maritime Police has scheduled career special lectures at Ohhyun High School and Ara Middle School on the 12th and 16th, respectively, and plans to continue them in the second semester after the vacation.


A Jeju Maritime Police official said, "Meeting various students shows that there is a lot of interest in the maritime police, so the future of the maritime police looks bright," adding, "We will strive to become the Jeju Maritime Police that the public wants through small and large communication opportunities."
