Base fare reduced from 2,450 won to 1,450 won
Increased service frequency, passing through Icheon Station and Icheon City Hall
Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 10th that the 'Bus No. 111' running between Icheon and Yeoju, which had been operated as a seat bus, has been reorganized into a city bus and started operation from the 8th.
Bus No. 111 is a 'city bus public management system route bidding type route.' Unlike the permanent license private system, the public sector owns the route and grants a limited license to private transportation operators selected through competitive bidding to operate the route.
With this reorganization, the basic fare for Bus No. 111 has been changed from 2,450 won to 1,450 won. Along with this, the number of trips on weekdays has increased from 24 to 38, and the bus will now pass through Icheon Station and Icheon City Hall. For detailed schedules, please refer to the Icheon City website.
The city also plans to convert the 'Bus No. 114' seat bus, which currently operates between Janghowon Terminal, Icheon Terminal, and Gwangju Terminal, into a general city bus starting in August.
Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, said, "We will strive to provide convenient public transportation services to citizens through future improvements in city bus routes."
