Park Jeong-hoon, the running mate of Han Dong-hoon, the People Power Party's candidate for party leader, claimed that "there must be forces that want to prevent candidate Han from becoming the party leader" in relation to the leak of text messages from Kim Geon-hee, Han's wife, sent to candidate Han.

On the 10th, Park stated on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' that "the content is something the Han camp would never release," drawing a clear line. Regarding the difference between the texts on Mrs. Kim's phone and candidate Han's phone, he explained, "After seeing the publicly released text content, candidate Han said, 'This content is not on my phone,' and it is understood that the text was captured in advance and some parts were deleted."

Park argued that the leaked text content is fueling the 'ignoring texts' controversy. He said, "It seems there are forces that do not want the controversy to end," adding, "I feel it is pressure to choose between candidate Han and President Yoon." Regarding those who leaked the texts, he said, "They are forces worried that candidate Han's political power will diminish if he becomes party leader."

Jo Jeong-hoon, chairman of the People Power Party's general election white paper special committee, claimed the day before that if candidate Han had continued discussions with Mrs. Kim and persuaded her to apologize, they could have gained more than 20 additional seats. In response, Park explained, "There were controversies such as the 'big wave' issue and the 'Hwang Sang-moo's kitchen knife' controversy involving the senior secretary for civil society," adding, "Various situations overlapped, making the election difficult." He further criticized, "The frame that the election defeat was due to not responding to the texts is unconvincing."
