Water Playgrounds Open at Banpo Sports Complex and Seocho Yongheori Park
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) will begin operating the urban water park "Yangjaecheon Swimming Pool" from the 13th to cool down the hot summer heat. Established in 2007, Yangjaecheon Swimming Pool has been a representative summer relaxation spot in Seocho-gu, loved by residents, with about 20,000 visitors last year.
The swimming pool covers a total area of 6,400㎡ and can accommodate around 1,100 people. It is equipped with various facilities to ensure comfortable use for people of all ages. There is a children's pool with a depth of 0.5m and a length of 72m, a lazy river pool with a depth of 1m and a diameter of 125m, and water slides. Shade tents are installed around the children's pool so families can relax together, and convenience facilities such as a snack bar, shower rooms, changing rooms, and restrooms are also provided.
The floor uses non-slip materials, water quality is managed more than twice a day, and safety personnel with water rescue certifications and nursing assistants are stationed to respond promptly to any emergency situations.
The swimming pool will be open daily until the 18th of next month, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission fees for Seocho-gu residents are 3,000 KRW for children, 5,000 KRW for teenagers, and 7,000 KRW for adults, while infants under 12 months can enter free of charge.
In addition, to celebrate summer vacation, the district will operate the "Seoripul Water Playground," where neighborhood parks transform into water play areas, from the 25th of this month to August 18th. Locations include Banpo Sports Complex, Seocho Yongheori Park, and Bangbae Dwitbeol Children's Park, featuring water slides, shade tents, and temporary shower and changing facilities that children will enjoy.
