Police Investigation Launched After Report Filed
A dental hygienist at a dental clinic was reported for illegally filming a female patient, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
On the 9th, Yonhap News reported, "The Namdong Police Station in Incheon received a report on the 6th from a woman in her 20s, Ms. A, who said she was illegally filmed at a dental clinic in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu."
Ms. A reportedly entered the clinic's X-ray room at around 2:35 p.m. At that time, Mr. B, a male dental hygienist in his 20s, was witnessed illegally filming her, leading her to call 112 (emergency number).
Regarding the incident, Ms. A explained, "I went to the dentist to have my wisdom tooth removed and was getting an X-ray and a CT scan when Mr. B told me to close my eyes. I felt something strange near my legs, and when I opened my eyes, I saw Mr. B filming with his mobile phone."
After reporting to the police, Ms. A checked Mr. B's phone together with the responding officers. She claimed, "The phone contained videos and photos of other female victims who had been illegally filmed."
The police plan to investigate the specific details of the incident with Ms. A and then summon Mr. B to verify the facts. At the time of the report, Mr. B voluntarily accompanied the police to the precinct, but since the facts have not yet been confirmed, the case remains in the pre-investigation (internal inquiry) stage. The police have also seized Mr. B's mobile phone for analysis.
