This education program is promoted as a project selected by the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s public contest and is conducted in cooperation with organizations such as the Road Traffic Authority, Rider Union, and Gwangju Police Station. It consists of essential content for the working environment of mobile workers, including motorcycle safety education, traffic regulations education, and accident response procedures. Those who complete the training will receive local currency (Sangsaeng Card worth 50,000 won) usable at cafes and convenience stores, as well as funds for purchasing safety supplies.

Additionally, Gwangsan-gu has designated and operates 53 private cafes and convenience stores within the district as ‘Dalgona (Dalrida Godanhamyeon Naegeoro Wa)’ rest shelters to guarantee rest rights for mobile workers who frequently move and lack resting spaces. Visualized signboards will be attached to the designated rest shelters so that mobile workers can easily recognize them, and on-site conditions will be inspected to provide a comfortable environment for resting.

Park Byung-gyu, head of Gwangsan-gu Office, stated, “A safe working environment is a right that must be guaranteed to workers,” and added, “We will strengthen the social safety net for mobile workers focusing on the Dalgona rest shelters and customized safety education.”
