BNK Gyeongnam Bank Donates 'Childbirth Kit' to Gyeongsangnamdo Childcare Support Center

BNK Kyongnam Bank announced on the 9th that it had donated 225 'BNK Maternity Kits' produced by its employees through volunteer activities to the Gyeongsangnam-do Childcare Support Center.

BNK Gyeongnam Bank Donates 'Childbirth Kit' to Gyeongsangnamdo Childcare Support Center Donation of 'BNK Baby Products KIT'.

Choi Daesik, Head of the Social Contribution and Public Relations Department, and Kim Jihoon, Team Leader, visited the Gyeongsangnam-do Childcare Support Center and delivered the 'BNK Maternity Kit Donation Certificate' to Center Director Moon Seongsuk.

The BNK Maternity Kit donation ceremony was arranged as part of the 'Save Our Gyeongnam Project No. 1 Business Agreement' signed last May with Save the Children and the Gyeongsangnam-do Childcare Support Center.

The BNK Maternity Kit, which consists of six items including a set of two bath products, a stainless steel straw cup, a double-sided waterproof mat, a Jjanggu pillow, a congratulatory card for childbirth, and a financial product brochure, will be provided to a total of 225 pregnant women. These recipients include pregnant women who visit the Gyeongsangnam-do Childcare Support Center facilities (Toy Library) in areas at risk of population extinction, as well as those recommended by partner organizations such as public health centers and community childcare sharing centers.

Last year, the number of births in Gyeongsangnam-do was 13,100, a decrease of 9,000 compared to the previous year, marking the lowest birth rate ever recorded.

In particular, nine cities and counties, including Goseong-gun, Namhae-gun, Hadong-gun, Sancheong-gun, Hamyang-gun, and Hapcheon-gun, recorded births in the 100s and are classified as areas at risk of population extinction.

Choi stated, "Thanks to the love and support of BNK Kyongnam Bank employees, customers, and local residents, we were able to prepare the BNK Maternity Kits. Going forward, BNK Kyongnam Bank plans to introduce various measures to help overcome low birth rates and population decline in the region."
