On the 9th, the Gyeongnam Office of Education announced that a high school teacher, Mr. A (in his 20s), apologized after exposing exam questions on his SNS last month. Earlier, in mid-last month, Mr. A posted a selfie expressing his stress while preparing final exam questions. However, part of the exam questions was visible in the background of the photo.

It was confirmed that 6 out of 20 items from one subject for 3rd-year high school students were exposed in the photo. When a fellow teacher pointed out the issue after seeing the SNS post, Mr. A immediately deleted the photo, but it had already been posted for an hour.

At the time, Mr. A assumed that students would not have seen the questions because his SNS was private, so he proceeded with the final exam scheduled for the 3rd using the originally prepared questions. Thirty-eight 3rd-year students took the exam.

However, it was revealed shortly after the exam that the questions had been leaked through an unknown channel. Some students and parents raised objections, and the Gyeongnam Office of Education, which oversees the school, began a delayed investigation into the matter.

Mr. A is reported to have apologized to the students, and the school where he works held a makeup exam for the subject the morning before, after obtaining students’ understanding.

A representative from the Gyeongnam Office of Education stated, "Teacher A, who was appointed last year, posted a selfie along with a message expressing stress about preparing exam questions, which led to partial exposure of the questions. It was not intentional, and since the students have accepted the apology, the school is expected to take administrative actions such as caution or warning." He added, "We plan to conduct training for teachers to prevent such incidents from happening again."
