Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo Meets with Busan Childcare Center Association Executives
Exchanges Views on Successful Integration of Early Childhood Education and Key Issues
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education held the event 'Communication and Empathy Meeting Day with the Busan Association of Daycare Centers!' on the first floor of the superintendent’s communication and empathy room in the annex building on the 9th.
This event was organized to gather opinions for the stable implementation of the integrated early childhood education and care policy, which aims to provide high-quality, non-discriminatory education and care services to children aged 0 to 5.
In particular, this meeting marked the first official communication between the city education office and daycare center representatives since the announcement of the Ministry of Education’s integrated early childhood education and care implementation plan on the 27th of last month.
The event was attended by Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo, officials from the Office of Education, Park Kinam, president of the Busan Association of Daycare Centers, and nine other executives.
They exchanged various opinions for the smooth promotion of the integrated policy, including ▲establishing support measures for daycare centers ▲strengthening training for daycare staff ▲operating model schools for the integrated policy.
Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo emphasized the importance of the integrated policy, stating that creating a high-quality education and care environment that parents can trust is a key task in overcoming the low birth rate crisis. He also requested active cooperation from the field for stable policy implementation.
One of the executives who attended the event said, “I sincerely thank the education office officials for listening to the voices from the field and working hard to promote the integrated policy,” and added, “Our association will also support the direction of the education office’s policy initiatives.”
Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “Today’s meeting was a meaningful occasion to seek successful ways to promote the integrated policy,” and added, “The city education office will continue to communicate with the field and do its best to make Busan a great place to raise children.”
