Discussion on the 2025 Local Extinction Response Fund Investment Project Report, Promotion Direction, and Preliminary Procedure Plan
On the morning of the 9th at 10 a.m., the Hamyang County Government held a meeting of the "Hamyang County Task Force for Responding to Local Extinction" in the county office's small conference room, attended by Deputy Governor Jo Yeomun (head of the task force), the Director of Administration, department heads and managers in charge of fund projects, and about 20 other participants.
The meeting began with a report on the 2025 Local Extinction Response Fund investment projects, followed by discussions on the direction and preliminary procedures for each department's projects to ensure the prompt and smooth implementation of the fund projects.
The Hamyang County Task Force for Responding to Local Extinction, led by the Deputy Governor, is supervised by the Office of Future Development, which oversees the planning and discovery of investment projects to address local extinction. Each strategy and project is operated by a designated department in charge.
To be selected for the 2025 Local Extinction Response Fund investment projects, the county has identified unique projects utilizing Hamyang's excellent local resources, with a particular focus on expanding the resident population, improving the living environment, and attracting young people.
Jo Yeomun, Deputy Governor of Hamyang, stated, "Through this task force meeting, we will thoroughly prepare for the 2025 Local Extinction Response Fund investment projects and actively respond to population decline," adding, "We will do our best to discover and promote projects that utilize Hamyang's strengths to make Hamyang a place where people want to live."
