Going Home Project Beethoven Complete Works Series... Performances of Symphonies Nos. 4 to 8

4 Performances at Seoul Arts Center in July and August

The orchestra 'Going Home Project' continues its Beethoven complete works series stage, which began last December. In the December performance last year, Going Home Project presented Beethoven's Symphonies Nos. 1 to 3, and will perform Symphonies Nos. 4 to 8 in four concerts from July to August.


The first stage will be held on the 12th at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center. Leonore Overture No. 2, the Triple Concerto, Fidelio Overture, and Symphony No. 4 will be performed. Pianist Son Yeol-eum, violinist Svetlin Roussev, and cellist Kim Doo-min will collaborate in the Triple Concerto.


Then, on the 14th, the second stage will feature Symphony No. 5 "Fate," on August 13th Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral," and on August 16th Symphonies Nos. 7 and 8 will be performed in sequence. Before the symphonies, in the first part of the concert, various overtures such as Leonore Overture Nos. 1 and 2, Stefan Wang Overture, The Ruins of Athens Overture, and The Naming Day Overture will be performed.

Going Home Project is an orchestra formed by Korean musicians active worldwide and musicians who consider Korea their second home. Cellist Kim Doo-min (former permanent principal of the D?sseldorf Orchestra in Germany), flutist Cho Sung-hyun (former permanent principal of the G?rzenich Orchestra Cologne, Germany), clarinetist Cho In-hyuk (former permanent principal of the Metropolitan Orchestra New York, USA), pianist Son Yeol-eum, and bassoonist Yoo Sung-kwon (principal of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Germany) are at the core of the orchestra, which was founded in 2022.


In this Beethoven complete works series stage, principal oboist Fabien Thuang of the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, Lee Kyu-jin (timpani, former member of the Czech Philharmonic Academy), Lee Hyun-jun (trumpet, permanent principal of the Hamburg Philharmonic), Lee Soo-yeon (flute, permanent associate principal of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra), and Cho Hyung-wook (double bass, associate principal of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta) will join Going Home Project for the first time, presenting a rich and abundant stage.
