As conflicts between the medical community and the government over the expansion of medical schools intensify, the son of Kim Yoon, a member of the Democratic Party who has consistently supported the increase in medical school admissions, has been targeted by comment attacks. Kim, a former professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine, reportedly experienced this while distributing a mobile wedding invitation for his son's wedding.

On the 9th, a post titled "Doctors are attacking Kim Yoon's son's wedding invitation with malicious comments" was uploaded on an online community. The author, Mr. A, stated, "Malicious comments are being posted on the mobile wedding invitation of Kim Yoon's son, who supports the expansion of medical schools," and shared a screenshot of the invitation.

Typically, mobile wedding invitations allow anyone to freely post comments. Even considering this, there are about 70 comments on Kim’s son’s invitation, most of which are presumed to be from strangers rather than acquaintances.

In the photos shared by Mr. A, users with nicknames such as 'Im Hyuntaek (President of the Korean Medical Association)', 'Kim Yoon (Kim’s real name)', and 'Park Minsu (Second Vice Minister of Health and Welfare)' posted malicious comments. Some even used nicknames that disparaged President Yoon Suk-yeol and mentioned Kim’s wife’s real name.

They mocked Kim with comments like "You must be having a great time making so many people cry blood," "Isn't it shameless to want to be happy after spreading so much despair," and "We want to send congratulatory wreaths, so why are you refusing them?" Particularly, there were many excessive comments containing profanity, threats, and hints of terror.

Kim has long faced intense criticism from doctors opposing the expansion of medical schools. In November last year, the Korean Medical Association sought disciplinary action against Kim, who was then a professor at Seoul National University, claiming defamation over his media interview supporting medical school expansion, calling it "protecting one’s own interests." Kim is currently considering legal action regarding the malicious comments on the wedding invitation. In an interview with Dong-A Ilbo on the 8th, Kim criticized, "People can have different opinions, but going beyond criticism of the individual to personal attacks and doxxing of family members crosses the line."
