VD Company announced on the 9th that it has delivered the commercial cleaning robot 'Clever' to the Sokcho City Facilities Management Corporation, enhancing the efficiency of cleaning and maintenance within the facilities. VD Company plans to lead the digital transformation of public institution facility management through Clever, starting with its introduction at the Sokcho City Facilities Management Corporation.

Clever is a multi-functional autonomous cleaning robot that combines four functions: wet cleaning, dry cleaning, sweeping, and mopping. It can automatically supply and drain water, recharge itself, and clean buildings independently even during early morning hours without human intervention.

The Sokcho City Facilities Management Corporation performs cleaning tasks through Clever between 10 PM and 6 AM, avoiding facility operating hours. Cleaning operations are remotely instructed via a dedicated app, allowing cleaning to proceed without personnel. Large spaces such as the indoor basketball court wooden floor at the Youth Training Center are cleaned by the robot, while humans focus on areas like the spectator seats and restrooms, significantly reducing labor intensity compared to before its introduction.

A representative from the Sokcho City Facilities Management Corporation stated, “Since the introduction of Clever, not only has the efficiency of building cleaning management improved, but satisfaction with cleaning quality has also increased. As the effectiveness of Clever’s operation has been proven through this introduction, we are reviewing its adoption in various other facilities in the future.”
