Daejeon City announced that it will conduct a survey to establish systematic support measures for young and middle-aged adults who are socially isolated and living in seclusion.

The survey targets young and middle-aged adults aged 18 to 64 residing in Daejeon City, and will examine their daily lives, social relationships, physical and mental health, and policy needs.

The survey will be available from July to August and can be accessed via QR code, online, or through the Daejeon Social Service Center website.

In particular, focus group interviews will be conducted with young and middle-aged adults who have overcome seclusion, their families, and field experts to gain a deeper understanding of their living conditions and needs.

Min Donghee, Director of Welfare at Daejeon City, said, "Reclusive individuals have mainly been seen among the youth, but recently, this phenomenon has been spreading to the middle-aged as well. Based on the findings of this survey, we plan to establish effective policies to resolve social isolation and seclusion."
