Design Using Blue Materials
Summer Wool Material 'Belted Suit Setup' 구성
Musinsa Standard announced on the 9th that it has unveiled the opening and closing ceremony uniforms for the South Korean national team ahead of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Musinsa Standard is a casual wear private brand (PB) operated by the fashion platform Musinsa.
The newly introduced national team uniforms consist of a "Belted Suit Setup" in blue. Among the shades of blue symbolizing the East and representing youthful spirit and progressive mindset, a calm shade called "Byeokcheong" was chosen, expressing the hope that the Korean team will shine brightly in blue among the athletes from various countries.

The blazer and slacks were made from summer wool material considering the hot weather in Paris during the Olympics. The lining of the blazer features a design inspired by Cheonghwa Baekja (blue and white porcelain), highlighting traditional Korean beauty. Additionally, a belt reinterpreted from the traditional Korean official robe's waist band was specially made to emphasize stylishness.
Besides the setup, the uniform set includes a T-shirt and white sneakers in running shoe style made from cooling and quick-drying functional materials. Furthermore, athletes will be provided with silver pendant necklaces featuring the Taegeuk pattern as accessories. The 'TeamKorea' logo is engraved on the inside collar of the blazer, the T-shirt, slacks, and the insoles of the sneakers.
Through an official partnership with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, Musinsa Standard also revealed uniform photoshoots of five national representatives participating in the Paris Olympics: Kim Sun-woo (Modern Pentathlon), Kim Han-sol (Artistic Gymnastics), Do Kyung-dong (Fencing), Park Tae-joon (Taekwondo), and Yoon Ji-soo (Fencing). The athletes participating in this event will wear the official opening and closing ceremony uniforms at the send-off ceremony held by the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park this afternoon.
Geon-oh Lee, Head of Musinsa Standard, said, "We are pleased to present the national team’s opening and closing ceremony uniforms at the 2024 Paris Olympics following our collaboration with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. We sincerely hope that all athletes competing in the games will stay injury-free and achieve their desired results, empowered by the vibrant energy of blue."
Meanwhile, the design of Musinsa Standard’s 2024 Paris Olympic national team opening and closing ceremony uniforms and the athletes’ photoshoot can be viewed from 11 a.m. today through the Musinsa Showcase.
