Chobok Popular Product Categories: Special Discounts on Livestock, Agricultural, and Seafood Products

Lotte Department Store announced on the 8th that it will hold a popular product exhibition and popup event for Chobok, the first of the three hottest days in summer, from the 12th to the 25th.

First, all Lotte Department Store branches have prepared livestock products for energy recovery. High-protein and flavorful beef cuts such as steamed short ribs, bulgogi, soup cuts, brisket, and shank will be sold at up to 40% discount, and young chicken, native chicken, and boiled chicken for Samgyetang will also be offered at special prices for Chobok. Especially at the main branch, Samgyetang meal kit gift products will be sold. Representative products include the Samgyetang meal kit 'Boyang Samgyetang GIFT (60,000 KRW)' and 'Animal Welfare Baeksuk Bokdalim GIFT (150,000 KRW; includes animal welfare chicken for baeksuk, glutinous rice, etc.).'

Along with this, an exclusive abalone special sale in cooperation with Wando County fishermen will be held at 13 metropolitan area stores and regional stores (Gwangju and Jeonju branches). In line with the Chobok season, when demand for abalone peaks, about 4 to 5 tons of 'extra-large live abalone,' considered the highest quality among abalones, will be directly sourced and sold at special prices. 'Extra-large live abalone 1kg (39,500 KRW; 8 pieces)' will also be sold at a price lower than the market price.

Watermelon and peaches, regarded as representative fruits for hydration during heatwaves, will also be sold at special prices for four days (12th to 15th). The watermelons are sourced from Yanggu, Gangwon Province, and the peaches from Eumseong and Icheon.

Additionally, a popup event for 'Jin Jeonbok Samgyetang X Wando Boyi,' famous for its Samgyetang in Nonhyeon-dong, will be held. From the 12th to the 25th, it will take place in the food hall on the basement first floor of the main branch, offering only representative Chobok health foods such as 'Maesaengi Samgyetang,' 'Abalone Porridge,' and 'Abalone Dakgangjeong.' Especially, a promotion will be held where customers who purchase three or more 'Samgyetang HMR' products will receive a gift of 'cleaned abalone (5 pieces).'
