Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province successfully concluded the 12th Uljin Geumgangsong National Table Tennis Tournament, which was held for three days from the 5th at the Uljin County Gymnasium.
Table tennis enthusiasts from all over the country, including Uljin, Samcheok, and Cheongsong, participated in the event, fiercely competing in both individual and team categories while strengthening their camaraderie and unity.
With over 800 participants, the tournament was divided into men's and women's singles, doubles, and team events, with six teams and sixteen individuals each claiming victory in their respective categories.
County Governor Son Byeongbok expressed his support and encouragement for the passion demonstrated by the participants in this Uljin Geumgangsong National Table Tennis Tournament, stating, "We will continue to show interest and provide support so that table tennis, the representative sport of daily life, can become even more popular."
The county plans to thoroughly prepare for nationwide sports competitions, including the 2024 U-12 National Youth Baseball Tournament to be held from the 20th, in order to invigorate the local economy.
