Gokseong-gun Hosts Ceramic Artist Jo Ilbok's Solo Exhibition 'Cutting Through the Night'

From the 11th to the 24th, 30 Ceramic and Installation Artworks Presented at Gallery 107 and Street Gallery

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold a solo exhibition by ceramic artist Dalggol Jo Il-bok from the 11th to the 24th at Gallery 107 on Jungang-ro, Gokseong-eup, and Street Gallery 4 buildings.


Under the theme "Weaving the night," this exhibition showcases 30 ceramic and installation art pieces that subtly express the lyricism of individuals in the darkness and the emotional light given by illumination.

Jo Il-bok, who is active in Gokseong-eup, said, "The works created at night show me a process of healing and recovery," adding, "I hope this exhibition becomes a space for emotional healing and relaxation for visitors."


A county official said, "We are pleased to introduce the works of local artists through this exhibition and provide residents with opportunities to enjoy culture."


Jo Il-bok graduated from the Ceramic and Tea Culture Department at Jeonnam Provincial College, has been selected in the Jeonnam Craft Exhibition, and is currently active as a member of the Jeonnam Ceramic Artists Association.


Gallery 107 is located at 107-1 Jungang-ro, Gokseong-eup, and is open free of charge from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily during the exhibition period.
