Girls' Generation Taeyeon Releases New Song 'Heaven'... "Upbeat Dance Pop"

Group 'Girls' Generation' member Taeyeon is set to release a new song and begin promotional activities.

According to her agency SM Entertainment on the 8th, Taeyeon will release her new song "Heaven" at 6 PM.

"Heaven" is a dance pop track that combines dreamy synthesizer sounds with Taeyeon's skilled vocals and rhythmic guitar sounds, creating a lively atmosphere. The lyrics metaphorically compare the refreshing moment when long-held thirst and desire are fulfilled to heaven.

In the music video for the new song, Taeyeon portrays the act of lovingly preparing food to take her loved one to heaven, viewing eating delicious food together as akin to heaven.

In the previously released visual concept, Taeyeon hinted at a different charm. Contrary to the song title "Heaven," she exuded a cynical atmosphere in the concept images. The clip featuring a bear character called "Gombeuni" added a grotesque yet fantasy horror vibe, raising anticipation for her comeback.

SM stated, "The performance, which adds meaning to the story of the music video and the lyrics, is also a highlight. It will captivate attention with free-spirited movements that break away from traditional group choreography, such as running forward or raising arms to the rhythm, expressing the refreshing and ecstatic feeling of reaching heaven."

Taeyeon will release the physical album of "Heaven" next month on the 5th, which includes a photobook and mini photo cards in a recipe mini-book version.
