Video Works Submission Open Until the 9th of Next Month, Total of 30 Selected
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) announced on the 8th that it will hold the ‘Enjoy Gangnam’ 60-second video contest introducing policies, systems, and events, and will accept submissions until the 9th of next month.
The ‘Enjoy Gangnam’ video contest focuses on policies and events that can be enjoyed in Gangnam. Participants are free to express content such as introductions to Gangnam-gu’s policies and welfare systems, reviews of participation in policies or events, or interview content.
Participants should create vertical videos within 60 seconds, upload them to YouTube, and add the hashtags (#60초강남 #꿈이모이는도시미래를그리는강남). Submissions are made by submitting an application form including the post link through the Google Form accessed via the QR code on the contest poster. Thirty outstanding works will be selected through screening.
Each individual (or team) can submit up to three entries, and if submitting multiple entries, each video must have a different theme. When submitting multiple works, all must be submitted together at once. For group submissions, one representative can submit on behalf of the team. The total prize money is 15 million KRW, with 500,000 KRW awarded per winning entry. Since up to three entries can be submitted per individual (or team), a maximum of 1.5 million KRW can be won.
The results will be posted on the Gangnam-gu website’s notice board on September 9th and individual notifications will be sent. Selected works will be sequentially posted on Gangnam-gu’s official YouTube channel, Instagram, and other representative social media platforms, and will be actively used for online promotion of district administration.
Meanwhile, the ‘Gangnam I Want to Keep Secret’ contest held in the first half of the year received great response, with about 70 more submissions than last year, totaling 210 entries. Among these, 40 works were selected and videos will be posted on Gangnam-gu’s social networking services (SNS) starting this month.
District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “I hope this contest will serve as an opportunity for various lesser-known policies to be re-examined from the citizens’ perspective,” and added, “We will actively utilize short videos that are accessible and friendly to people for promoting district administration.”
