90s Elderly Missing in Hongcheon Rescued After Three Days

A man in his 90s who went missing in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, was safely rescued after three days.

According to the Gangwon Fire Headquarters on the 7th, Mr. A (95) was found around 8:29 a.m. in a forest in Wondong-ri, Duchon-myeon, Hongcheon-gun. Mr. A's son reported him missing on the evening of the 4th after noticing that his mother was not visible at home or in the field. The police and fire authorities launched a wide search using drones and rescue dogs, but had difficulty locating Mr. A because he did not take his mobile phone with him.

Mr. A was found in a forest next to a forest road about 600 meters north of his home.

The fire authorities immediately transported Mr. A to a hospital, and it is reported that his life is not in danger.
