"All Texts Exchanged with Han Dong-hoon Must Be Disclosed"
Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, claimed that the controversy over Han Dong-hoon, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, ignoring texts from First Lady Kim Geon-hee could escalate into a case of state manipulation.
On the 6th, Park wrote on his Facebook, "The Kim Geon-hee text message scandal is shaking the political landscape. All media outlets have featured it on their front pages," adding, "Conspiracy politics involving power struggles between the First Lady and the second-in-command of the administration are rampant."
He also stated, "Why did the First Lady allow these texts to be made public now?" and argued, "There are rumors of numerous exchanged messages that lead to personnel appointments, nominations, party affairs, and interference in the party convention." He further added, "There are also widespread rumors of numerous calls and texts involving ministers," warning, "This situation could escalate into state intervention and state manipulation."
Park urged, "I call on Kim Geon-hee and Han Dong-hoon to immediately disclose all exchanged messages," and appealed, "The First Lady should clarify the facts and issue a public apology to the nation without delay."
He also addressed President Yoon, saying, "I urge the President to accept a special investigation into Chae Sang-byeong and Kim Geon-hee, at least to clarify the doubts," and claimed, "The Yoon Seok-yeol administration is moving from division to disintegration."
