The prosecution has indicted a public enterprise employee on bribery charges, detaining him in custody, for accepting bribes and conducting unfair evaluations during the bidding process for construction project management services commissioned by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
The Fair Trade Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 5th that it has formally charged Lee Mo (56), a public enterprise employee, with bribery under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.
Lee is accused of receiving a total of 70 million won in bribes from two competing companies participating in the bidding, requesting to be selected as the service provider while serving as a bid evaluation committee member for the construction project management services commissioned by LH. The prosecution believes that Lee awarded the highest score to the company that offered more money.
