Diverse Management Experience and Creativity... New Vitality Expected for Local Small Businesses
Hong Seok-gi, the new head of the Gwangju Seo-gu Small Business Management Support Center, will take office on the 8th.
Based on his diverse management experience and outstanding creativity, Director Hong is expected to bring new vitality to small business owners and local markets in Seo-gu, Gwangju.
He has excelled in various fields such as financial credit management, technology development, organizational management, and sales strategy, successfully leading numerous companies. In 1996, while on a leave of absence from university, he worked as a researcher at KAIST and developed patented technology related to electric bicycle drives, which he used as a foundation to start an electric bicycle company and gain management know-how.
During the IMF economic crisis, at the age of 27, Director Hong founded a venture company and was selected as the youngest New Intellectual by Gwangju Metropolitan City in 2001.
Since then, he has contributed to regional development by transferring patented technologies in the medical, environmental, construction, and welfare sectors to numerous mid-sized companies and providing management and sales consulting.
He also holds numerous awards, including the Prime Minister's Award and the Chungmugong Award at the Korea Patent Technology Exhibition.
His career raises expectations that he will greatly contribute to discovering and nurturing future businesses for small business owners by demonstrating creative ideas and excellent leadership at the Gwangju Seo-gu Small Business Management Support Center.
Director Hong said, “I will do my best to seek and implement effective measures for the development of small business owners and the local community.”
