Up 7% Compared to the Second Half of Last Year
As the 8th popularly elected administration of Gyeongnam Province enters its second half, Governor Park Wansoo has received more positive evaluations from residents compared to last year.
Korea Gallup recently announced the results of its job performance evaluation survey for the 8th popularly elected city and provincial governors nationwide, conducted from January to June.
According to the Gallup report, 56% of Gyeongnam residents responded that Governor Park performed his duties well in the first half of this year.

The positive evaluation rate increased by 7 percentage points from 49% in the second half of last year, while the negative evaluation rate decreased by 1 percentage point to 23%, compared to 24% last year.
Among local government heads nationwide, the positive evaluation rate ranked sixth, following Jeonnam at 65%, Gyeongbuk at 63%, Gyeonggi at 62%, and Daegu and Jeonbuk at 57%.
This survey was conducted entirely via wireless phone using virtual numbers. For Gyeongnam Province, 1,172 residents were surveyed, with a standard error of ±2.9 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
