Boryeong-si Receives Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation for Health Promotion Project Evaluation

On the 5th, the Boryeong City Public Health Center in Chungnam announced that it was selected as an excellent institution in the comprehensive health promotion project category at the 16th Joint Performance Conference of Local Governments and received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.

The city received positive evaluations for analyzing local health issues over the past three years and operating region-specific programs to address them.

This year, to create a healthy Boryeong City, the city selected walking practice rate, current male smoking rate, and blood pressure awareness rate as key performance indicators, and is operating programs such as training walking instructors and mobile workplace smoking cessation clinics.

Jeon Gyeong-hee, the head of the Public Health Center, said, "We will discover integrated health promotion projects that meet residents' needs to create a healthy Boryeong City."
