Cheonan City (Mayor Park Sang-don) Culture and Arts Division and the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (Director Kim Gok-mi) Cultural City Office announced that they are recruiting trainees to cultivate media art professionals in Cheonan.
The Cheonan Cultural City Media Art Artist Training Program is a media art project course aimed at debuting as a media art artist. Through practical lectures and project mentoring by active media art artists, trainees complete their own media art works and are given opportunities to broadcast and exhibit them on media walls and media art galleries located in Cheonan. This special program offers trainees not only excellent learning opportunities but also valuable experience.
In this training, experts from various fields participate, providing video lectures using diverse programs related to media art production such as After Effects, Blender, Unreal Engine, and MadMapper, along with sound theory and design education for media art creation. Additionally, experts from graphic and programming fields join the artist debut program. Notably, a special lecture on generative AI, tailored to the AI era, is also a highlight.
Kim Gok-mi, Director of the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, stated, “This is a very meaningful program as it is the first media art education held in Cheonan.” She added, “Through cultivating media art professionals, we aim to create an environment where various media art can be enjoyed in Cheonan, not just in the metropolitan area.”
This training course offers a great opportunity for Cheonan citizens, current students and graduates of universities located in Cheonan, as well as graduates and workers in related fields. Applications and inquiries can be made via phone or email. The application period is from July 8 to July 31, and applicants must submit an online Google form and a portfolio to apply.
