The Dong-A University SW Professional Talent Development Project Group (headed by Professor Kim Sangjin of the Department of Management Information Systems) held the completion ceremony for the 4th class of the 'Digital Smart Busan Academy'.
The 'SW Professional Talent Development Project', supervised by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation, is a program in which universities and companies form a large-scale consortium to jointly operate educational courses and connect them to employment, aiming to nurture software professionals tailored to the on-site needs of the Busan region.
The SW Talent Development Project Group at Dong-A University held the 4th graduation ceremony of the Digital Smart Busan Academy and is taking a commemorative photo.
The project group, which includes universities in the Busan area such as Dong-A University, Pukyong National University, and Dong-Eui University, as well as local companies, has been operating the 'Digital Smart Busan Academy Program' since 2022 to foster SW professionals tailored to the needs of local industries.
In this 'Digital Smart Busan Academy', Dong-A University operated the 'Data Science' curriculum, and at the recent 4th completion ceremony held at the Dong-A University Bumin Campus, 54 SW professionals graduated.
The completion ceremony included project presentations by participants and an awards ceremony for outstanding students.
Jo Hyunjin (Department of Business Administration, 4th year), a member of the 4th class, said, "Thanks to the guidance of the project head and many others, both majors and non-majors were able to grow and develop together," and added, "I support the bright future of my fellow graduates."
The Digital Smart Busan Academy operates an intensive curriculum for university students and graduates in the Busan area, offering 320 hours of theory and practical training and 320 hours of projects to develop AI-based app programming services needed in Busan's finance, medical, manufacturing, and port industries.
