'Halbuji' Visits China to See 'Pubao'... Reunion After 3 Months

'Puba-o Halbuji' Everland zookeeper Kang Cheol-won reunited with Puba-o after three months.

Everland announced on the 5th that zookeeper Kang Cheol-won met Puba-o at the Wolong Shensuping Panda Base in China. Zookeeper Kang toured the outdoor enclosure where Puba-o lives, called Puba-o's name, and spent time interacting with him. It was reported that Puba-o responded to Kang's voice and approached him closely, showing signs of recognizing the zookeeper.

After meeting Puba-o, zookeeper Kang said, "Seeing the place where Puba-o lives in person, the surrounding environment is very good, and I can see how much the local keepers have really worked hard for Puba-o, so I feel relieved. I was proud to see that he is adapting well, and as I believed and was confident, Puba-o is doing well. I want to come and visit Puba-o whenever I have the chance in the future."

The reunion between zookeeper Kang Cheol-won and Puba-o will be revealed later through Everland's YouTube channel 'Talking Zoo Ppupa TV.'

Meanwhile, Puba-o, who moved to China on April 3rd, completed about two months of quarantine and adaptation, and has been publicly displayed in the outdoor enclosure since the 12th of last month, meeting general visitors.
