Naver Band Launches 'Dongne Band' Service for Easy Map Viewing

Naver announced on the 5th the launch of the 'Dongnae Band' service, which allows users to explore various bands operating nationwide by region.

Naver Band started in 2012 as a group-type social media supporting gatherings among acquaintances, and its usability has expanded from local small groups to neighborhood stores.

Any leader of a band with six or more members can register as a Dongnae Band to promote their band to nearby users. When registering as a Dongnae Band, users select one of three categories: small group, local store, or organization, and register the detailed address of the band to display its location on the Dongnae Band service map. General users can explore and join various bands actively operating in their area through the Dongnae Band service.

Lee Jeong-min, leader of Naver Band, said, "We will continue to focus on the essence of the Band service as a group-type social media and provide various features to further activate communities centered on regions and interests, not just gatherings among acquaintances."

Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch of the Dongnae Band service, Band is holding an open event until the 14th. First, users can share the Dongnae Band event page with friends or acquaintances and request the Band team to register the bands they participate in as Dongnae Bands. Participants in the event will be entered into a draw to receive Band brand products suitable for the summer season.
