Broadcasting Marine Safety Campaign on Checkout Screen

The Seohae Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Kim Inchang) is strengthening collaboration with convenience stores to raise public awareness about the importance of maritime safety.


According to Seohae Agency on the 5th, a campaign to promote maritime safety culture is being conducted in cooperation with convenience store chains Seven Eleven, Emart24, and CU.


This campaign delivers special posters and messages on the checkout screens inside convenience stores to inform the public about the importance of wearing life jackets.

The content being broadcast is one of the award-winning works from the maritime safety poster contest hosted by the Coast Guard, titled "Misfortune and Fortune Are Just One Life Jacket Apart." Through this, it is expected to raise public safety awareness during the summer season when maritime leisure activities increase.


A Seohae Coast Guard official said, "We are conducting a nationwide maritime safety campaign through public interest message collaboration with three convenience store brands," adding, "We will continue proactive administration to spread maritime safety culture."


Maritime safety is a serious issue that causes numerous accidents and casualties every year. Accordingly, the Seohae Regional Coast Guard Agency’s efforts are expected to remind the public of the importance of maritime safety and contribute to accident prevention.


The public is expected to develop habits of considering their own safety and exercising caution through the campaigns seen at convenience stores.


Seohae Coast Guard plans to continue efforts to ensure that the public prioritizes safety while enjoying maritime leisure activities through ongoing promotion and education.
