Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held a personnel committee meeting (Chairman: Deputy Mayor Yoon Jae-sam) on the afternoon of the 4th and finalized the list of promotions, announcing 3 promotions to Grade 4 (Director) and 9 promotions to Grade 5 (Department/Dong Heads).
On this day, the promotion results brought big smiles to three key figures: Shim Gyu-hong, General Affairs Department Head; Yoo Young-bo, Autonomous Administration Department Head; and Shin Bong-su, Planning and Budget Department Head.
They were initially known as the expected candidates for Grade 4 promotions as key positions within the district office.
However, since the personnel decisions must be finalized with the signature of the district mayor, who holds the ultimate authority, the individuals likely experienced a period of anxious waiting.
Nevertheless, with this large-scale promotion of 3 Grade 4 and 9 Grade 5 personnel announced, lower-level employees now have more opportunities for promotion, creating an atmosphere full of anticipation.
In particular, the Grade 4 promotions were intriguingly distributed regionally, drawing attention. Shim Gyu-hong, the expected Grade 4 director, is from Pocheon, Gyeonggi; Yoo Young-bo, the expected Grade 4 director, is from Yeongju, Gyeongbuk; and Shin Bong-su, the expected Grade 4 director, is from Goheung, Jeonnam.
Additionally, these individuals will serve as directors for six months before entering a retirement sabbatical at the end of this year. Along with two other directors who will also enter retirement sabbaticals at year-end, four Grade 4 positions will open up, indicating a continued 'promotion rush' in Gwangjin-gu.
All of them are originally from Gwangjin-gu and have been recognized for their over 30 years of dedicated service to the residents, earning them the honor of promotion.
