At that time, the police's breathalyzer test showed his blood alcohol concentration was between 0.03% and 0.08%, which is the level for license suspension.

On the 13th of the same month, A was caught in a drunk driving crackdown in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and was once investigated by the Yeongdeungpo Police Station for refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

It was also reported that A refused a blood test by the police at that time. As the current prosecutor was involved in drunk driving incidents twice in less than two weeks, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office launched an inspection of A and requested the Ministry of Justice to suspend his duties.
