[AI Revolution](111) Indent "Customer-Friendly Reviews with Chatbots... AI Commerce Possible"

Indent CEO Yoon Tae-seok & CTO Jeon Su-yeol Interview
Launch of Influencer Marketing & Review Management Service
"Enabling High Added Value with a Small Workforce"

"When introducing artificial intelligence (AI) into commerce, we considered how much it could contribute to a company's sales. We want to create something practical rather than just 'cool' AI technology."

Recently, I met CEO Yoon Tae-seok at the headquarters of Indent Corporation (hereafter Indent) in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, who defined the services his company provides in this way. AI is also utilized to help increase corporate profits.

Indent applies AI across the entire commerce business, from review analysis and utilization services to recently launched influencer marketing services. CEO Yoon’s career, which includes roles such as a manager at the U.S. data analytics company Synex, senior consultant for Samsung Electronics e-commerce, and CEO of E-commerce Standard, proves his genuine commitment to the e-commerce market. Like the company name 'Indent,' meaning 'to indent,' CEO Yoon and Indent’s employees are developing solutions with the determination to be 'the first' in the new phase of commerce AI transformation (AX).

Last month, Indent established a Martech (marketing + technology) subsidiary called ‘Jerrywa Kongnamu.’ Jerrywa Kongnamu launched ‘Spray IO,’ the first domestic service that helps find suitable influencers for marketing and assists with marketing contracts (seeding). The company holds four registered technology patents. CTO Jeon Soo-yeol, who planned the service, introduced the solution by saying, "We focused on representing the realm of emotions as information," adding, "We analyze the similarity of information between brands and influencers through photo color tones, objects, and more."

Existing influencer marketing services from other companies find creators mainly among those who have separately registered on their websites to match brands with creators. However, ‘Spray IO’ searches for creators across the entire SNS platform. It also analyzes viral effects based on various factors such as the number of views and followers of posts uploaded by creators. CEO Yoon said, "We can estimate seeding possibilities from a much larger sample than existing methods," and added, "AI allows us to find more creators with higher contract probabilities than humans can." The service is provided to companies like Daemyung Chemical, and recently, a beauty company halted all marketing except collaborations with Jerrywa Kongnamu. The service is also used overseas, including in Japan.

Indent’s review analysis and utilization service ‘VReview,’ which made the company well-known, collects and displays reviews through an interactive chatbot. The core of VReview lies in 'customer friendliness.' When customers write reviews via KakaoTalk’s interactive chatbot, these reviews are posted in real-time on the commerce company’s website. It is also possible to provide curated reviews based on sales contribution and topic-specific reviews through text analysis of materials, colors, sizes, and more.

Former CTO Jeon said, "Proactive customer management is possible through positive and negative sentiment detection," adding, "We also filter out violent and provocative posts." More than 5,160 companies and e-commerce malls use VReview.

CEO Yoon believes the emergence of one-person commerce generating up to 1 trillion won in sales is possible. He said, "Currently, we are in the 4th generation of commerce," and added, "In the commerce market, all areas except planning can be replaced by AI." He further stated, "The customer service (CS) area greatly impacts companies, and with Indent’s solutions, even a small workforce can create significant added value."
