Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) will hold the Hwangtogol Saturday Market at Muan Traditional Market from the 6th to September 15th.
According to the county on the 4th, this event is organized by the Muan Traditional Market Merchants Association (President Moon Jeong-su) and will be held a total of 11 times every Saturday (the last session on Sunday) from 6 PM to 10 PM.

A total of about 20 stores will participate in the event, selling various foods at affordable prices. Visitors can enjoy hearty meals with offerings such as Dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken), skate fish, jokbal (pig’s trotters), buchimgae (Korean pancakes), and local traditional liquors.
Moreover, there will be plenty of entertainment, including performances by the Mogabi Band, South American instrument performances, Nanta (Korean percussion show), fusion classical music, trot, Pumba (traditional Korean street performance), 70s and 80s music, pop, Jangteo Yulangdan performances, and the Hwangtogol Song Festival, providing a variety of cultural experiences.
Through this, not only local residents but also tourists can enjoy a rich experience. The Hwangtogol Saturday Market started its first event in 2019 to revitalize the traditional market and is now in its third year.
Governor Kim San said, “I ask everyone to come to the Hwangtogol Saturday Market with family, acquaintances, and friends to enjoy the taste and charm of Muan.”
