Business Agreement Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance
The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (President Park Jonggil) signed a business agreement with the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training on the 4th to promote research for workers' return to work and vocational skills development.
This agreement marks a new beginning to shift the paradigm from simple compensation to a return-to-work-centered social rehabilitation program, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of industrial accident insurance.
Park Jonggil, President of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, and Ko Hyewon, President of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training, are signing a business agreement.
In order for industrial accident patients to return to work, not only medical and psychological support but also vocational skills development is crucial. Therefore, by signing a business agreement with the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training, a specialized institution in vocational skills development, this is expected to serve as an opportunity to further advance industrial accident insurance.
Starting with this agreement, the two organizations plan to continue mutual cooperation through joint research, information sharing, and consultation to improve workers' return to work and vocational skills development.
President Park Jonggil stated, "Supporting the healthy return to work of workers who have suffered industrial accidents is the most important role of the organization," and added, "This business agreement will serve as a major contribution to the improvement of vocational skills for industrial accident workers and the development of lifelong vocational skills at every stage of life for all working people."
