Yeongyang County Holds 'Tteok Dessert' Making Class Using Local Agricultural Products

Yeongyang County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Oh Dochang) has been conducting a 'Rice Cake Dessert' making class utilizing local agricultural specialties at the Yeongyang County Agricultural Technology Center since July 2.

Yeongyang County Holds 'Tteok Dessert' Making Class Using Local Agricultural Products Rice Cake Dessert Making Class.

The 'Rice Cake Dessert' class at the Yeongyang County Agricultural Technology Center teaches participants how to make various rice cake desserts using rice, nuts, and other ingredients. The program will be held over five sessions, totaling 15 hours, from July 2 to July 30.


This course is designed to actively utilize local agricultural products such as rice and soybeans grown directly by farmers in the county, and features menus that can be made at home, including Yaksik, Samsek Seolgi, and Yeongyang Chaltteok.


Cho Yongwan, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "I hope this class will increase interest in our rice and agricultural products and serve as an opportunity to promote the consumption of local produce."
