YNB Food Launches Three New 'Sotteok Sotteok' Flavors: Mala, Dalgona, and Pizza

YNB Food Launches Three New 'Sotteok Sotteok' Flavors: Mala, Dalgona, and Pizza [Provided by YNB Food Kuzlockathome]

‘Sotteok Sotteok’ has become a representative food at highway rest stops nationwide after being introduced as a highway snack menu on domestic entertainment programs. In tourism promotion programs, it was also selected as a must-eat menu by a Korean boy group at rest stops, making it a representative K-food of South Korea sought after not only by domestic consumers but also by foreign tourists.

Amid growing domestic and international interest in 'Sotteok Sotteok,' Y&Y Food Co., Ltd. (CEO, Lee Hyun-hee), the company that first introduced the 'Sotteok Sotteok' product to the market, announced the launch of new flavors of ‘Sotteok Sotteok’ to satisfy diverse consumer tastes.

The new flavors are △ Mala-flavored Sodam Sotteok with mala sauce, △ Pizza-flavored Sodam Sotteok that everyone loves, and △ Dalgona-flavored Sodam Sotteok targeting the halmaennial trend (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Sodam Sotteok 3 types’).

Instead of the original spicy sauce of ‘Sotteok Sotteok,’ the new ‘Sodam Sotteok 3 types’ were developed to be more accessible to children and foreigners. These products were developed through long-term research at Y&Y Food’s food research lab and feature healthy sauces aligned with recent trends, making them enjoyable snacks for people of all ages and genders.

‘Pizza-flavored Sodam Sotteok’ offers the taste of pizza loved by everyone and is recommended as a snack for children and foreigners familiar with pizza flavors.

‘Dalgona-flavored Sodam Sotteok’ is inspired by the halmaennial trend, similar to dipping garaetteok in jocheong (rice syrup) or honey. It is suitable for those who find spicy or strong flavors difficult, including children, the elderly, and people with sensitive digestion.

‘Mala-flavored Sodam Sotteok’ has a subtle mala taste that can be enjoyed not only by mala lovers but also by those who usually avoid mala, without any burden.

Additionally, the sausages in Sodam Sotteok are made from carefully selected pork with added corn, providing a popping texture that offers a different charm from the original ‘Sotteok Sotteok.’

A Y&Y Food representative said, “We planned this season’s products to match customers’ preferences and trends,” adding, “We will continue to develop various products favored by customers and strive to promote K-food not only domestically but also worldwide.”

The new Sodam Sotteok 3 types by Y&Y Food can be purchased at the company’s exclusive customer shopping mall ‘Kuzrak@Home (Ku@t)’ without visiting rest stops or marts, and are also available through various online purchase channels such as Naver Smart Store and live commerce.
