Gangdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 4th that it will hold the "2025 Academic Year Career and College Admission Fair" for students preparing for entrance exams and their parents at the Gangdong Arts Center on the 13th of next month.

The 2025 academic year is expected to bring significant shifts in the college entrance landscape due to various factors occurring simultaneously, such as the expansion of non-major admissions and the increase in medical school quotas. To help attendees grasp the changing college admission information all at once, the district will hold the "2025 College Admission Strategy Seminar" along with personalized one-on-one counseling related to university admission.

The college admission strategy seminar will feature Park Kwon-woo, a teacher at Ewha Womans University High School and regarded as one of the top experts in public education entrance exams, who will be invited as a lecturer to explain overall college admission strategies, including an analysis of the 2025 admission process, over a four-hour session. Additionally, admissions officers from 24 major universities such as Sogang University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Hanyang University, along with specialized counseling teachers from the Korea Council for University Education, will provide intensive one-on-one college admission consulting.

In particular, this year, in preparation for next year’s increase in medical school quotas, there will be dedicated counseling booths for medical schools (two universities).

Pre-registration will open on the 9th on Gangdong-gu’s integrated education portal "Gangdong Mirae ON" on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will be recruited separately for the three areas: college admission strategy seminar, university-specific personalized counseling, and specialized admission consulting.
