The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization has selected 10 'Unique Local Meeting Venues' that showcase the charm and distinctiveness of Gyeonggi Province.

Since April, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization received recommendations for 24 unique venue candidates from cities and counties within the province. After review, they announced on the 4th the final selection of 10 venues: Pocheon Art Valley (Pocheon), 111CM (Suwon), Yeongheung Arboretum (Suwon), Bon Da Vinci (Siheung), Aegibong Peace Ecological Park (Gimpo), First Garden (Paju), Dongducheon Natural Recreation Forest (Dongducheon), Ajit Analog (Yangpyeong), Gu House (Yangpyeong), and Iham Campus (Yangpyeong).

Pocheon Art Valley is notable for its unique space repurposed from a quarry, while Suwon’s 111CM transformed a cigarette manufacturing plant into a cultural facility, and Yeongheung Arboretum is distinguished by being an arboretum located within the city.

Siheung’s Bon Da Vinci was selected for its differentiated exhibition space focused on art tourism, and Gimpo’s Aegibong Peace Ecological Park was chosen for its unique landscape and global content centered on peace.

Paju’s First Garden is a cultural complex offering diverse outdoor experiences, and Dongducheon Natural Recreation Forest was praised for its eco-friendly image with a theme of ‘healing.’ Yangpyeong’s Ajit Analog features an exotic space, Gu House is a gallery housing fine artworks, and Iham Campus is characterized by its unique architecture and eco-friendly environment.

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization plans to launch a large-scale promotional campaign covering a total of 27 venues across 14 cities and counties, including the newly selected 10 locations.

Unique Venues (Unique Local Meeting Venues) refer to places where MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events can be held, offering a distinctive atmosphere and unique appeal beyond traditional meeting facilities such as convention centers and hotels. These venues encompass both indoor facilities and outdoor (natural) environments.
