The "Blood Pressure Monitor Distribution Project for Senior Centers" is a program in which Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters provides funding for the purchase of 95 blood pressure monitors, and the Korean Senior Citizens Association distributes these monitors to senior centers.
This project was carried out to help detect and respond to potential health risks among local seniors at an early stage. It was implemented through mutual cooperation among Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, Gijang-gun Office, and the Korean Senior Citizens Association Gijang-gun Branch, targeting senior centers that did not yet have blood pressure monitors installed.
Gijang-gun Office first supplied 114 blood pressure monitors to senior centers in Gijang-eup and Cheolma-myeon. Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters then installed an additional 95 monitors in Jang-an, Ilgwang, and Jeonggwan-eup senior centers, ensuring that all 302 senior centers and 7 local branches of the Korean Senior Citizens Association in the area were fully equipped with blood pressure monitors.
Jung Jaerak, Head of External Cooperation at Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "We hope this support will help seniors living near the nuclear power plant enjoy a healthy and vibrant later life," and added, "Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to implement various community welfare projects to promote the health of local residents."
