Busan Seobu Office of Education to Strengthen Inclusive Education Operations

Training for Teachers at Integrated Schools and Kindergartens for Young Children with Special Educational Needs

Busan Western Office of Education (Superintendent Lee Jaehan) will conduct the "Special Education Target Preschoolers Inclusive Education Teacher Training" for administrators and teachers of inclusive schools and kindergartens on July 4 and September 26.

This training aims to enhance the special education expertise of administrators and teachers at inclusive schools and kindergartens where special education target preschoolers are assigned, and to strengthen the operation of inclusive education by establishing an inclusive educational environment where children with and without disabilities learn together.

The training on July 4 will be held at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of the Education Support Office. On this day, Kim Jeongmi, CEO of Korea RT Center, will give a lecture on "Understanding Play-Based RT Responsive Interaction Teaching Methods to Unlock Children's Potential."

CEO Kim will introduce interaction methods that allow preschoolers to actively participate in their environment and provide opportunities necessary for their development.

On September 26, Seo Eunjeong, Administrative Director of the Behavior Development Promotion Center at On General Hospital, will deliver a lecture on "Positive Behavior Support for Children's Behavioral Change."

Director Seo will provide practical information for the inclusive education field, including response techniques and solutions for children who exhibit challenging behaviors in inclusive educational environments.

Lee Jaehan, Superintendent of the Western Office of Education, said, "This training will be very helpful not only for special education target preschoolers but also for the growth and development of general preschoolers," adding, "The Education Support Office will do its best to establish an integrated educational environment for special education target preschoolers and to ensure the smooth operation of the special education curriculum."
