Santa Fe XRT and Genesis Neorundo Named
Hyundai Motor Company and Genesis' designs were recognized at the Red Dot Award, one of the world's top three design awards.
On the 3rd, Hyundai and Genesis announced that they won four main awards in the design concept category at the '2024 Red Dot Award.' The Red Dot Award, hosted by the Design Center of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany, is considered one of the top three design awards worldwide. The design concept category, in which Hyundai won this time, evaluates concept, prototype, and pre-release product designs.
Hyundai received main awards in the autonomous driving category for the hydrogen-based future mobility concepts 'DICE' and 'SPACE,' which were first unveiled at the world's largest electronics event, 'CES 2024,' earlier this year.
Additionally, the Santa Fe XRT concept won a main award in the 'transport design' category. It is based on the 5th generation Santa Fe and features added specifications such as a cargo carrier on the roof rack, a ladder attached to the tailgate, and a cargo box.
Genesis also won a main award in the 'transport design' category with the ultra-large electrified sports utility vehicle (SUV) 'Neorun.' Neorun's design embodies the theme of 'beauty in simplicity' and is said to reflect futuristic values.
A Hyundai Motor Group official stated, "This award is the result of Hyundai and Genesis constantly striving to provide customers with differentiated experiences," adding, "We will continue to showcase Hyundai Motor Group's vision for future mobility through delicate and creative design concepts."
