"Children Are Asan's Future... Committed to Expanding Safe Care Communities"
On the occasion of his 2nd anniversary in office, Park Kyung-gwi, Mayor of Asan City, visited the Baebang Kkumbichae Apartment, a Chungnam-style happy housing for youth and newlyweds, to listen to the voices of citizens in the care-friendly space.
Asan Mayor Park Kyung-gwi, on the occasion of his 2nd anniversary in office, visited the Baebang Kkumbichae Apartments, a Chungnam-type happy housing for youth and newlyweds, to listen to the voices of citizens at the care-friendly space.
The Kkumbichae Apartments, located in Buksuri, Baebang-eup, offer a policy where rent is reduced by 50% after the birth of one child and fully waived after the birth of two children. The apartments feature a national public Kkumbichae daycare center, a Dahamkke Care Center, and a communal childcare sharing space, resulting in high user satisfaction.
Mayor Park toured the care-friendly space installed within the Kkumbichae Apartments and held a time for communication with citizens.
At this meeting, citizens suggested raising the income criteria for the support project for postpartum mothers and newborn health managers, expanding support for middle-aged mothers excluded from youth- and elderly-centered welfare policies, and adding safety devices within care facilities.
Mayor Park Kyung-gwi said, “Thanks to childbirth promotion policies such as a significant increase in childbirth incentives, the 100-won taxi for pregnant women, and postpartum care support, Asan is a happy city where the birth rate is steadily increasing,” adding, “We will strive further to create an environment where children, the treasures and future of the region, can grow up happily and healthily.”
