Brian Impact Foundation Performance Report Published

The Brian Impact Foundation published a 'Performance Report' on the 3rd to mark the foundation's 3rd anniversary, detailing the achievements of major projects and programs carried out over the past three years.

Brian Impact is a public interest foundation established in June 2021 by Kim Beom-su, the founder of Kakao. It was launched to support innovators and innovative organizations creating a better world through technology. Celebrating its 3rd anniversary this year, Brian Impact has published the performance report and launched a 3rd anniversary commemorative performance sharing website to introduce and commemorate the path it has taken to create sustainable social impact.


This performance report begins with an introduction to Brian Impact and includes ▲the foundation’s 3rd anniversary timeline ▲the total amount of cumulative support funds and the amount spent by sector ▲and the achievements of the foundation’s major projects and programs such as Impact Ground and Brian Fellows.


The 3rd anniversary timeline presents the foundation’s activities in chronological order from its establishment in June 2021. Over the past three years, Brian Impact has supported a total of 46 billion KRW across various fields. The performance report also shows the cumulative support amounts by sector, including changemaker training, science and technology/environment, children and youth, education, vulnerable groups and minorities, healthcare, disability, and innovation ecosystem development.


The program achievements section covers the overview and results of 10 major Brian Impact programs: ▲Impact Ground ▲Brian Fellows ▲Side Impact ▲Citizen Science Support ▲Artificial Intelligence (AI) Paper Research Support ▲Science and Technology Network ▲Psychological Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) ▲Social Environment and Early Aging (research on people with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and parents of people with developmental disabilities) ▲Bravo Beaver ▲and Growth Support Programs. For Impact Ground, a project supporting innovative organizations, it has directly and indirectly supported 21 innovative organizations, 8,394 organizations, and approximately 1.3 million individuals (as of 2023). Six laws were enacted or revised with assistance from this program.


Son Jeong-a, Secretary General of Brian Impact, said, "This performance report captures the journey of fellows and innovative organizations striving to create a better world over the past three years and realizing their dreams." She added, "Brian Impact will continue to do its best to delicately capture and widely share the impact of people challenging themselves to change the world."
