AmCham Launches 'Young Professional Program' to Foster Next-Generation Leaders

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) announced on the 3rd the official launch of the 'Young Professionals Program (YPP)' aimed at nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Through this program, AMCHAM plans to cultivate future talents such as next-generation leaders and experts, and contribute to strengthening the Korea-US alliance and global economic development by promoting human exchange.

The core of this program is to provide advice that can help solve various challenges that may arise in the ever-changing global business landscape through broad networking opportunities connecting next-generation leaders in their 20s and 30s with leaders from various sectors in both the public and private spheres.

AMCHAM expects that YPP will serve not only as a networking platform but also as a forum for discussions on business initiatives and policies that impact AMCHAM members active in Korea.

The leadership, including the AMCHAM board of directors, also supports this program. In the future, participants will be able to receive direct and indirect guidance and mentoring from top-level executives. At the YPP kickoff meeting held on the 27th of last month, Kim Kyung-hoon, President of Google Korea, participated as the first mentor and received enthusiastic responses from the participants.

James Kim, Chairman and CEO of AMCHAM, said, "We are very proud to take a leading role in nurturing young talents working at multinational companies into insightful leaders," adding, "AMCHAM’s extensive network within its platform will provide our next-generation leaders with valuable resources, mentoring, and opportunities to grow on the global business stage."

He continued, "AMCHAM is sincerely committed to fostering the next generation of leaders who will drive innovation and growth on the global business stage," emphasizing, "Through this, we hope to contribute to strengthening the Korea-US alliance and the development of the world economy."
