Mediagen Participates in Ministry of Science and ICT-led NIPA Project 'New Task for AI Expansion Based on Inter-Ministerial Collaboration'

MediaZen announced on the 3rd that it will participate in a new project under the AI diffusion initiative based on inter-ministerial collaboration, promoted by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

This project is part of the AI diffusion initiative based on inter-ministerial collaboration, led by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) as the main ministry and NIPA as the dedicated agency. MediaZen will be responsible for developing and demonstrating technology that integrates AI into the Fair Trade Commission’s terms review platform. The project is funded with a total budget of 6 billion KRW over three years, with MediaZen’s portion amounting to 2.8 billion KRW.

A company representative stated, “Consumer damage caused by unfair terms is becoming a serious issue,” adding, “We plan to train existing data with AI and provide a supplemented terms LLM engine by utilizing our proprietary large language model (LLM), Mirage.”

Mirage generates outputs by creating a pool of various language models such as Llama3 and Gemma, rather than relying on a single language model base. When additional models are released, it can provide optimized results tailored to client environments and demands simply by adding to the internal model pool.

MediaZen intends to register regulations, policies, and product information as knowledge document data and use AI to review terms. Through this, they aim to prevent duplicate processing in terms review and enhance efficiency via automation.

MediaZen emphasized, “We will leverage our technological competitiveness in the AI field to carry out various projects targeting corporations and public institutions.”

Meanwhile, F1Soft and DeepModal are also participating in this project. F1Soft is an AI platform specialist company that has been selected multiple times as an excellent demonstration company. DeepModal, a startup founded by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), plans to jointly develop core voice and LLM technologies with MediaZen.
