Online Courses Covering Six Fields
Available from July 1 to August 31
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development is conducting the "2024 Second Training Program for Professional Manpower by Sector in the Korean Medicine Industry" from July 1 to August 31, in response to the global trend of population aging and the growing need to secure experts in traditional medicine and complementary and alternative medicine.
This training consists of a total of six courses: ▲Herbal Medicine Materials ▲Preparation and Manufacturing ▲Applied Industry ▲Service Industry ▲Entrepreneurship ▲Basic Theories of Korean Medicine.
The "Herbal Medicine Materials" course provides useful information for those involved in the production, processing, and distribution of herbal medicines, including an introduction to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) system for Korean medicine manufacturers. The "Preparation and Manufacturing" course covers an overview of the medical device approval system and clinical trial methodologies.
The "Applied Industry" course addresses case studies of product development using Korean medicine applications, while the "Service Industry" course covers topics such as claims and understanding of indemnity health insurance for Korean medicine.
The "Entrepreneurship" course introduces major government support programs for entrepreneurs and presents startup cases in the field of Korean medicine, while the "Basic Theories of Korean Medicine" course covers a modern understanding of Korean medicine and topics such as materia medica and prescription studies for the general public.
This training is open not only to those working in the Korean medicine industry but also to anyone interested in Korean medicine. Participants can take the courses for free at any time through the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development website.
Jung Changhyun, President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development, stated, "Through this training, we aim to provide information necessary for the operation and technological development of the Korean medicine industry, and we expect it will greatly contribute to enhancing the competitiveness and expertise of the industry in the mid- to long-term."
